Parallel beds along the long wall
When room width exceeds length, we place beds head-to-head along the longest wall, leaving a central play aisle. Each child gets a bedside shelf and individual reading light without requiring room dividers.

Loft beds and under-bed desks
Ceiling height above 2.40 m opens loft-bed options. We specify stair angles safe for children over six and verify head clearance at the dormer ridge before ordering custom frames.
Visual privacy without walls
Curtain tracks, low bookcases, and colour zoning create separate territories. In Haarlem canal houses where structural walls cannot move, soft division is often the only practical solution.
Staircase delivery planning
Bunk frames and mattress bases must fit your stair turn. We produce a delivery diagram showing maximum component dimensions — essential when the only access is a 72 cm Haarlem stairwell.
Shared storage, labelled zones
One wardrobe with divided drawers beats two half-empty cupboards. We specify internal organisers and low hooks so each child maintains their own zone within shared furniture.

- Parallel single beds with shared desk between them. Sage and ochre colour split at mid-wall. Built-in wardrobe with alternating drawer colours. Total design fee EUR 1,890.
- Nieuwe Gracht — bunk under sloped ceiling
- Custom low bunk following the roof line: upper bed at maximum safe height, lower bed with reading nook beneath dormer window. Delivered flat-pack via narrow stair.
- Spuistraat — trundle for visiting cousin
- Primary bed with under-bed trundle on castors. Daytime the trundle stores bedding; weekend visits need no guest room elsewhere in the house.
- Spiegeltjesstraat — twins, age 3
- Identical beds, mirrored layout. Shared toy shelf at centre, individual picture ledges above each pillow. Floor cushion zone for morning play.
